 The owner and rider must be members of the THSA and the horse recorded in order for points to count. 

All shows are VHSA Rated.

Divisions & Classes

The following divisions and classes will count towards THSA and VHSA, except where otherwise noted.  If a class or division does not have three or more entries for several shows in a row it may not continue to be offered. If a class or division does not have three or more entries for more than half of the shows in the series it WILL NOT be included in the THSA series Year End Awards. Not all classes will be offered at all shows, so be sure to check each shows schedule.

Adults may not ride ponies in any VHSA division.

Special Junior/Amateur - THSA only. Open to Junior or Amateur riders on horses or ponies. Adults may ride ponies. Ponies may cross enter into any other division at the show including Short Stirrup Hunter. Fences 2'.

Baby Green - THSA only.  Will be open to horses and ponies who have not shown in more than two shows over fences prior to this year.  Fences 2'. 

Open Hunter -  Open to horses only.  Fences 2'6" & 3'.

Special Hunter - THSA only.  Open to horses and ponies.  Fences 2'3" or 2'6".

Green Horse & Pony - 2'3", 2'6" & 3' - Will be split horses and ponies if entries warrant. 2'3" for Small & Medium Ponies, 2'6" for Large Ponies and Horses and 3' for Horses. 

Pony Hunter - Fences 2'3" for Small and Medium Ponies, and 2'6" for Large Ponies.

Junior/Amateur Hunter - 2'6" or 3', rider’s choice. Will be split Juniors and Amateurs if entries warrant.

THSA/VHSA Equitation - open to Junior and Amateur riders who are members of the THSA and VHSA.  Will be split by Juniors, Amateurs and/or Ponies if entries warrant.  Fences 2'3" for Small/Medium Ponies, 2'6" for Large Ponies and 2'6" or 3' for Horses.

Hunter Pleasure - Open to horses and ponies. One class will be Walk-Trot, one class Walk-Trot-Canter, and one class Go As You Please.  Will be split if entries warrant by horses, ponies, juniors, adults and green.

Short Stirrup Hunter - Open to horses and ponies ridden by children 12 years and under. The division will consist of three (3) classes, two over fences classes and a walk, trot, canter under saddle class. Short Stirrup riders, ponies and horses may not cross enter into any other VHSA Associate Division with the exception of Pleasure Pony or Pleasure Horse. They may cross enter into Short & Long Stirrup Equitation. Short Stirrup riders may not show more than two (2) entries in the Short Stirrup Division. Fences will be 18".

Short & Long Stirrup Equitation - THSA rated only. Open to horses and ponies ridden by Junior or Amateur riders. The division will consist of three (3) classes, two over fences and a flat class of Walk and Trot only. Riders in this division may not cross enter into any other division with the exception of Pleasure and Short Stirrup Hunter if eligible. The horse or pony may cross enter into any other division at this show where they are eligible. Fences will be 18".

Beginner Equitation - THSA rated only. Open to Junior and Amateur riders on horses or ponies. The division will consist of three classes at the walk and trot.

Lead-Line - open to riders 8 years and under.
